Gangubai Kathiawadi Day 4 Box Office Collection: Alia Bhatt Starrer Sees A Major Drop On Its First Weekday – See Latest
Cinemas appear to be making a comeback in a big way. Gangubai Kathiawadi, a film directed by Alia Bhatt and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, grossed over 45 crores in its first four days of release. The film, which was released in theatres on Friday, earned ₹10.50 crores on its first day. On the second day, it increased and made ₹13.32 crores. The film earned ₹16.50 crores on Sunday alone. The movie saw a major drop on Monday as expected. Gangubai Kathiawadi Day 4 box office collection numbers stood at ₹6.5 crores.

Aside from Alia Bhatt, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, and Shantanu Maheshwari. The film was also shown at the Berlin Film Festival. The film is based on the life of Gangubai Harjivandas, an Indian prostitute and madam of a brothel in Mumbai’s Kamathipura neighborhood during the 1960s.
