Ukraine agrees to meet Russian delegation for ‘peace talks’ on Belarus border

7.45 pm: Ukraine agrees to hold “peace talks” with Russia in Belarus, The Kyiv Independent reports.

“President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed that the Ukrainian delegation would meet with the Russian delegation without preconditions on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, near the Pripyat River,” Zelensky’s office says.

7.40 pm: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a high-level meeting on the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine tonight, reports ANI.

7.30 pm: Russian president Vladimir Putin has ordered his military to put the country’s nuclear deterrence forces on high alert, The Guardian reports. Putin says his order is in response to the “aggressive statements” made by NATO countries.

7.15 pm: The Indian Embassy in Ukraine is advising the Indian diaspora to move away from conflict zones to the Western region.
