Users just have to click on the three dot-menu next to a follower’s name and click ‘Remove follower’. After this all the tweets shared by a user will not appear on the timeline of the follower. The removed follower will then have to follow you again to see your tweets on their timeline and if you have protected tweets then they would need your approval to become a follower again.
This new feature is different from blocking someone, which keeps them from viewing your tweets and directly messaging you. On the other hand, this new feature functions like an unfollow button.
