Health Monitoring committees for Telangana cops: DGP Mahendar Reddy

Hyderabad: Director-General of Police M Mahendar Reddy on Wednesday said that Health Monitoring Coordination Committees would be set up at the office of the Police Commissioners and district Superintendents of Police in the State.

A decision to this effect was taken during a video conference held at the police headquarters here. Reddy said the department was according priority for the safety of police personnel and WhatsApp groups were created in every wing to interact with those who test positive through zoom meetings to instill confidence among them.

Senior officers, station house officers and doctors would give advice to the patients in the group. Instructions were also issued to give Covid kits and dry fruits to the patients. Instructing officials to prepare the health profile of everyone in the department, Reddy asked authorities to take necessary steps to rush patients to the nearest hospital if they develop any complications.
