#Kolkata: The killing of four villagers by Central Forces in Sitalkuchi Firing in Kochbihar is still a turbulent state policy. Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee has termed the tragic incident that took place on the day of the fourth round of polls as ‘genocide’. He is targeting BJP and Election Commission. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has blamed the Trinamool leader’s ‘Chappa Vote Masterplan’ for the incident. Even Amit Shah, against whom Mamata is most vocal, has slammed Mamata’s ‘persuasion’. But BJP state president Dilip Ghosh broke the threat barrier by attacking the opposition. And in that context, this time Dilip himself faced the notice of the Election Commission. He has been instructed to explain the reason for the controversial remarks within the next 24 hours. Otherwise, the commission will take a unilateral decision against him. Even though Dilip Ghosh is not satisfied with the answer, action has been warned against him.

In a threatening rally in support of party candidate Parno Mitra in Baranagar on Sunday, Dilip said in a threatening tone, ‘The naughty boys were shot in Shitalkuchi in Kochbihar. Just started. It will be all over Bengal. If anyone goes too far, the place will be cold. ‘ Dilip’s remarks caused an uproar. The Trinamool also went to the commission against him. His publicity was banned and a criminal case was filed against him. In that context, the notice went to the BJP state president.

Not only Dilip Ghosh but also BJP leader and Habra party candidate Rahul Sinha commented on the incident in Shitalkuchi, saying, “Not Shitalkuchi, 4 people should have been shot dead.” In the wake of that comment, the commission has imposed a 48-hour ban on Rahul Sinha’s campaign since Tuesday.

On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee’s campaign has also been banned for 24 hours. The Trinamool leader is already sitting at the foot of the Gandhi statue in Kolkata against him. However, after 8 pm, he will hold two meetings in Barasat and Bidhannagar as soon as the ban is lifted.
