India vs Australia: Glad to have completed my rehab strong, says KL Rahul ahead of 1st Test in Chennai

India batsman KL Rahul said on Tuesday that he was “glad” to complete his rehabilitation “strongly” and that he was looking forward to the home Test series against England.

Prolific India batsman KL Rahul looks charged up ahead of the 4-match Test series versus England. The stylish right-hand batsman took to Instagram on Tuesday and said that he was looking forward to the home series after completing his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.
“Glad to have completed my rehab strong. No better feeling than being back fit and healthy. Always fun to get back with the boys, and an honour to represent India. Looking forward to the home series,” he wrote.

KL Rahul was part of India squad for the Test series against Australia. However, the Karnataka batsman returned home after injuring his wrist during a net session after the completion of second Test in Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The 28-year-old underwent rehabilitation at NCA after arriving in the country.
Indian contingent stationed in Chennai for the first two Tests tested negative in all the three mandatory Covid-19 tests before starting their net session on Tuesday.
Ravi Shastri helped kickstart India’s training session in the lead up to the Test series against England with a “rousing address”.

The last two Tests will be held at Ahmedabad’s newly-built Motera Stadium.
